About Wristmas.

Hi! For those who aren't familiar with me, I'm Mark, the individual behind Wristmas. Wristmas has served as my online persona for quite some time now, and it has truly been an adventurous journey. Throughout the years, I've had the pleasure of connecting with some incredible individuals from diverse backgrounds. It's people like you who provide me with the motivation to keep moving forward, and for that, I am sincerely grateful.

As time has passed, my fascination with my hobbies—whisky, watches, and automobiles—has only grown stronger. My passion for cars was instilled in me at a young age. My father would take me to car shows, swap meets, and involve me in tinkering with or observing our cars' maintenance. Even today, I continue to attend car shows, work on my Subaru WRX's, and admire vehicles like Porsches and GTRs, with the aspiration to own them one day.

Watches entered my life in a similar fashion, although it was my grandparents who presented me with a modest, blue-faced watch of an unknown brand. Regrettably, I misplaced it not long after. When I finally had the means to purchase a watch during high school, I opted for a Nixon LoDown tide watch from a local surf shop. It suited me perfectly, and I rarely took it off—seriously. During college, my girlfriend (now fiancée) gifted me a watch for an anniversary. Towards the end of college and in the years following, I delved into repairing SWATCH Group watches. Subsequently, I ventured into collecting watches and became intrigued by the rise of microbrands. The rest, as they say, is history.

My journey into whisky also began during my college years, initially centered around bourbon. However, in 2019, my trip to Scotland completely transformed my perspective. Describing the whirlwind this journey has been wouldn't do justice. I've undertaken personal selections and blends, offered reviews for various brands, and, well, consumed my fair share.

Through Wristmas & The W's, I present to you all three passions wrapped into a single, concise weekly newsletter. I am genuinely excited about this undertaking and eagerly anticipate what lies ahead. Thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement.
